Researchers have found another important connection between sleep problems and its far-reaching consequences. Many patients who have been diagnosed with REM sleep behavior disorder have been show to develop a neurodegenerative disease within 10 years.

To determine whether male- or female-specific brain injury is present in OSA, we assessed influences of sex on white matter changes in the condition.
